How to set up a push notification campaign

Push ads are delivered to users who subscribed to notifications on a publisher's site and are shown on the device's notification tray. They are priced per click; the campaign needs an icon, a title and a short description.

Set up a push notification campaign

  1. On the Basic step choose Push Notifications and CPC; SmartCPA is available when you report conversions by postback.
  2. Set the daily budget and a default CPC at or above the GEO minimum.
  3. Pick GEOs, device types and operating systems; check the push volume per GEO and OS under Volumes first.
  4. On the Advanced step set the frequency cap and, if offered, the subscriber-age range: fresh subscribers click more, older ones cost less.
  5. Add several ads per campaign: icon 192×192, title up to 30 characters, description up to 45, optional image 360×240. The platform rotates them by weight; raise the weight of the winner after a few days.

Settings that matter for this format

  • Write the title as the call to action; the description is often truncated on small screens.
  • Use a different landing page per message angle so the statistics by ad tell you which angle, not which picture, worked.

After saving

The campaign enters Pending approval and is moderated against the advertising policies, normally within one business day. Track results under Statistics grouped by source ID, and send conversions back with a postback so the Conversions column fills.
