Whitelists and blacklists of sources

Every impression carries the publisher's source ID, the domain it ran on and, where the publisher passes one, a sub-ID. A whitelist (include list) runs the campaign only on the sources you name; a blacklist (exclude list) blocks the ones you name and leaves everything else eligible.

Where the IDs come from

Open Statistics, group by Source ID (or Domain, or Sub-ID) and add the Conversions column from your postbacks. The table shows spend, impressions, clicks and conversions per source. Copy the IDs that spend without converting into an exclude list, and the ones that convert under your target cost into a whitelist campaign.

Apply a list to a campaign

  1. Open the campaign and go to the Advanced step for one-off lists, or Filters for saved lists.
  2. Choose the list type: Source include or exclude, Domain include or exclude, Sub-ID include or exclude.
  3. Paste the IDs one per line, or use bulk import.
  4. Save. The change applies to new impressions immediately; no re-approval is needed.

Saved filters

Under Filters in the sidebar, Create Filter builds a named list (Domain Exclude, Source Include, Sub-ID Exclude, ISP Exclude, IP Pool) that any campaign can attach. Update the filter once and every campaign that uses it follows.

An include list is a hard restriction. Listing even one source makes every other source ineligible. Expect lower volume and more competition on a whitelist campaign; most buyers run a wide campaign with an exclude list alongside a narrow whitelist campaign with a higher bid.

Passing the source to your tracker

Add {subid} (the source) and {spaceid} (the placement) to the destination URL so your tracker can group conversions by source: https://your-tracker.example/click?cid={tracking}&source={subid}&zone={spaceid}. Source IDs may be delivered encoded; the encoded value is stable, so lists built from it still work.
