How to integrate RedTrack with Reacheffect

RedTrack sits between the Reacheffect ad and the landing page: it records every click, redirects the visitor and reports conversions back. Setup is three steps and takes a few minutes.

How the pieces fit

The ad's destination URL points at your RedTrack campaign URL and carries Reacheffect's click ID in the parameter RedTrack maps to its External ID. RedTrack stores it with the visit. When the offer reports a conversion to RedTrack, RedTrack fires its traffic-source postback to Reacheffect with that external ID in cid, and the conversion lands on the right click, ad and source in Statistics.

1. Add Reacheffect as a traffic source in RedTrack

  1. In RedTrack, add Reacheffect as a traffic channel (from template if offered, otherwise custom) and set the parameter carrying {tracking} as the channel's click-ID (ref_id) parameter.
  2. Add the tracking parameters you want in reports: source as {subid}, placement as {spaceid}, country as {country}, device as {device_type}, cost as {paid}.
  3. In the traffic source's postback URL field, paste Reacheffect's conversion URL from the More Info dialog under Tracking → Conversion Tracking, and replace the cid value with RedTrack's external-ID token: cid={ref_id}. Add the payout token RedTrack lists for traffic-source postbacks to the amount parameter if you want revenue in Reacheffect reports.

2. Build the campaign URL

Create the campaign in RedTrack with Reacheffect as the source and copy the campaign URL. Paste it as the destination URL of your Reacheffect ads; it already contains {tracking} and the other macros you set on the source.

3. Test

  1. Click your own ad from the campaign preview and confirm the visit appears in RedTrack with a non-empty external ID.
  2. Fire a test conversion from RedTrack (or complete the offer's test flow).
  3. Open Reacheffect → Statistics and confirm the Conversions column fills; if not, read the Rejected Postbacks tab under Tracking.

Notes

  • RedTrack keeps two identifiers per click: the traffic channel's, exposed as {ref_id}, and its own, {clickid} (RedTrack FAQ). The Reacheffect postback needs {ref_id}.
  • RedTrack can send a test postback once a few live clicks exist; use it before relying on live conversions.
